The Wales Internet Service Providers Association (WISPA) is Wales’ Trade Association for providers of Internet services. Established in 2011 the association aims to improve self regulation within the Welsh ISP sector and drive the competition within the Welsh internet industry. Ultimately this should lead to a better internet experience for the people of Wales. Under the experienced guidance of former Ofcom director Hywel Wiliam, WISPA's main activity is in making representations on behalf of the industry to WAG bodies, such as the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills and Ofcom. Government and political representatives often approach WISPA for its knowledge and expertise. |
